Michael Patterson was born October 10, 1953, in Hudson, N.Y. He is the third of five children born to Burns and Bobbi Patterson. They moved to the Briarcliff area when Michael was about five. Michael’s father and his brother, David, are also artists, his father having pursued a commercial art career and David, continues painting landscapes of the Hudson River Valley. Michael’s grandfather was also an artist who received considerable notoriety in his day.
